Admissions

5-year Accelerated Degree Program:
High school applicants to Marquette can apply for direct-admission to the 5 year ADP culminating in an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology (EXPH) and a Master’s degree in athletic training (MAT). Candidates can apply to this program out of high school using either the common application or the Marquette-specific application.  Each application process should prompt the applicant to submit an essay specific to the Master of athletic training direct-admit application during the process. To complete the undergraduate and graduate programs in a total of 5 years at Marquette, students will need to choose an undergraduate major with an accelerate path to the MAT, such as Exercise Physiology or Biomedical Sciences, as their undergraduate major. Any student that is accepted to the MAT program who did not choose one of the known paths as their intended undergraduate major will be contacted to further discuss their plans. Application information and process can be found here: /explore/application.php

Anyone pursuing their undergraduate degree at ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ who wishes to join the MAT path can contact the MAT program director for more information and to discuss a plan moving forward. Individuals are required to meet course prerequisites and academic requirements to be eligible to apply.

This application process should be completed through the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service (ATCAS), which can be found .  Those applying who are already at Marquette for their undergraduate degree or completed their undergraduate degree at Marquette can work directly with the Program Director to apply internally.

The application for the professional phase through ATCAS opens up in summer the year prior to matriculation, with applications considered on a rolling basis until the class is full. Each cohort of students starts the professional phase in the MAT Program here at Marquette in late May, with an anticipated graduation in May 2 years later.
