This award is presented annually to a Biomedical Sciences graduate who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, skill, and achievement in the laboratory of a faculty research mentor. Established in 2006 to recognize the top researcher in the graduating class, the award was elevated in 2026 through an anonymous alumni gift honoring Dr. Doug Lobner, and is now named the Lobner Award for Outstanding Research, accompanied by a stipend for the recipient.
