Program Learning Outcomes

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) describe what the Career Center commits to deliver to students. Measuring PLOs helps demonstrate the impact of the work of the Career Center and are measured on a rotating, annual basis through student learning outcome assessment.

Career Center Program Learning Outcomes

Through engagement with the Career Center, all students will:

  • Develop proficiency in their Professional Formation Competencies as a part of their transformative Marquette education.
  • Explore career possibilities and discern how their interests, values, skills, experiences, and aspirations inform their academic and career decisions.
  • Strengthen their ability to connect with others and communicate who they are, what they have learned, and the contributions they can make.
  • Reflect on and integrate learning from their academic, co-curricular, work, and other experiences, articulate how these experiences shape their professional development, and use this learning to inform their future career development.
  • Demonstrate agency in their career management skills, set goals, take purposeful action, reflect on their progress, and adapt to an evolving world of work.
