Our team of physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, medical assistants, and dietitians provides a wide range of care to support student health and well-being.
Illness & Injury Care
- Evaluation and treatment for common illnesses (cold, flu, strep, mono, UTIs)
- Minor injuries including wounds, lacerations, and orthopedic injuries
- Skin rashes and infections
Sexual & Reproductive Health
- STI testing, evaluation, and treatment (confidential)
- Pregnancy testing
- Routine gynecological care and Pap smears
- Testicular exams
Please note: contraception is not provided at the clinic.
Skin & Minor Procedures
- Acne and eczema treatment
- Wart treatment
- Minor procedures such as suturing, abscess drainage, and ingrown toenail removal
Physicals & Preventive Care
- Physical exams for employment, visas, and volunteer work
- Immunizations (flu, MMR, meningitis, hepatitis B, tetanus, travel vaccines, and more)
- Tuberculosis screening/testing and immunity lab testing
Sports Medicine
- Evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
- Concussion care
- Guidance on physical activity and exercise
Nutrition
- Nutritional counseling, including sports nutrition and special dietary needs
Travel Health
- Travel consultations
- Recommended immunizations and health guidance for international travel
Lab Services
- Lab testing ordered by MU medical Clinic providers or your doctor with an order.
- Some tests are done on site with available same day results; others are sent to a reference lab
Pharmacy
- The Medical Clinic offers limited pharmacy services. We are unable to fill prescriptions written by outside providers.
- If a medication is not available at the clinic, or if your prescription is written by an outside provider, you may use a local pharmacy in the Milwaukee area. Students are responsible for all prescription costs.
Referrals
- If your care requires services beyond what we provide, we will connect you with trusted specialists in the Milwaukee area.
